Today I actually did something! *woohoo* Went to Joy's party at the KOP to be exact. Yay for scavenger hunting around the mall and stalking Tall people and those with large asses! Saw Ian from CHSC and he licked my face a few time, (a sign of affection) and gave me his number (another item on the list). Not to mention, he qualified for our "hot employee". whooo way to kill...erm 3 birds with one stone. Then I saw the Cesarine Brothers and Terry completely ignored me, oh how sweet of him.
Aaaaah when I grow up I want to be an Avon Lady just like Joy's friend Amy XD. Well, I can once I turn 16...

Labor Day Weekend, last week of summer.
How am I spending it?
Drugged up on 2400 milligrams of ibuprofin, icing my legs and finishing up my summer reading. fuck.
Meet against GA on Tuesday (yup, registration day) and apparently I have some slight tendonitis in my left knee.
I need a last good summer weekend posthaste, preferably including males. Whilst my sister and mother are à la plage avec les Rubins, I get to finish The Autobiography of Malcom X and try to heal before our first meet. And partyhop a bit, and *hopefully* do some shopping at KOP (before and/or during Joy's?). I smell a trip to the ATM.

I think the real letdown was that Chelsie wasn't there :( But Trina (her..erm..ex-stepmom) gave us her adress!! Also, the weather was gorgeous beyond belief. Apparently the weather had been utter crap that whole summer except for the week we were there! Coincidink? (SABOTAGE!) Hmmm the only kayaking i got to do was late at night whilst trying to figure out the problems with the boat rope or something. Ooh! But we did make a pie! Picked thousands of wild rasperries and blackberries and baked it ourselves XD
ooer and skinny dipping in the Offenhartz's hot tub... ; ) And then running around in our nuddy pants...heh heh Sammy's noody butt at the beach! Aww Chelsie's brother is sooo cute. He was a nice little substitute for her.

Sooo, just got back from the Empire State. What a luverly weekend I had. Got sunburned whilst visiting my crazy lil sis at her jew camp (BHEC) whilst she tried setting me up with all her counselors ><. I'm not joking, she dragged me over to everyone, and of course she had told them soo much about me beforehand. Aww I loove her, that sneaky little match-maker. Actually, one of her counselors remembered me from last year...weird.
Mmmm so then we visited Vassar today, along with 2 other people from this area (??)! One of the girls goes to GFS, and the other went to Penncrest...i think...Haha and i was the only "rising" junior there! Out of like 20 some people.
What did i think?
(I don't know if this is just because it was my first college tour but...) I really really really liked it. It's actually just what I'm looking for, which is weird because it was just a random choice almost to visit! Small, but not too small. Great class sizes and emphasizes discussion over lectures (!!!), 8:1 student faculty ratio, and a really close relationship with profs (they live in dorms with their familys!). Gorgey campus, only 1 3/4 hour train ride from this city! And it's sooo independent and you have soo much freedom with everything! I mean, you can create your own major. I LOVE IT. Plus they have just all these amazing courses and AAH! I even started thinking of ones i would take and thinking about how i could fuse a major of history/anthropology-sociology and film heh heh.
well, for some reason now i'm excited about going to college. I'm soo excited to go do more visiting trips! We actually already started to plan some more...It feels good actually starting something a bit early for once...well...atleast not procrastinating on it!
oh right, one last thing. I'm an ENFP (Extravert, iNtuitive, Feeling, Perceiving). What are you?

Tonights concert was AMAZING. I had such a blast! Even though I didn't really know any of the bands...Well now I do haha. Bought 3 of the Pepper's Ghost albums and got one signed! Also got to talk to Anthony, who was sooo awesome on vocals and such. Hmmm he's my favourite XD love the dark curly hair.
Yea, so it was also a good time to be single heh heh. Went with Lauren, and had lots and lots of fun...just observing people haha. Saw lots and lots of random people too like Tom, this kid Pete from Work (haaha), Adrian (who, by the way, did I mention he was a kick ass director for Summer Theater?), Ian and Colin, and then kids who are in that band Cereal Heroes or something from Shipley...oh right! and Pryor and Rachel. Soo that was funny, because I would turn around and recognize someone.
Mmmm so right, at first I was happy I was single and such, just being able to soak up the surroundings. And then Yeah Yeah Yeahs get on stage and sing Maps and Karen starts dedicating it to everyones "Love". So then i start to really think about the lyrics and what they mean...and I just thought it was so wonderful that you could say that to someone. damn her. Oh, and secretly, i want to be her. Along with Indiana Jones.

hmm this should be short.
Finally saw Farenheit 9/11. Very, powerful, i guess one could say. Brought out a variety of different (and mostly passionate) emotions in me (as Eva can surely testify hehe). It makes me realize how much I really don't know/don't understand about our society, country and the world around us...yay for a reality check. Dammit I wish i was 18...I need action NOW.
Oh right, and i watched that special last night on Sci Fi called The Buried Secrets of M. Night Shyamalan. Can't really decide which was my favourite part....either recognizing Smolen because of his nose, seeing my love Johnny Depp or watching two prominent people in the film industry (director of "My Architect" and producer of "Lost in Translation") make complete fools of the themselves whilst making this "documentary". What a wonderful puff-piece for "The Village"! Linking M. Night to dead people hehe. (what a hoax)
Hmm well i'm a fan, so i'm going to spend tomorrow night at the United Artists theater at KOP, watching the live Q&A avec M. Night (and the awesome clips from Village). They're showing it at 41 Regal/United Artists Cinemas across the country tomorrow at 9 east, 6 pacific. WHOO!

The rain...it just doens't stop....TROPICAL STORM!
so, having the Friends Historical Library right next to the entrance of McCabe means that I get to listen to people complain about the heavens opening up all day long. (did that sentence make any sense? I don't think so. Oh weeelll)
So today begins the weeks of 7 hour work days. >< Oh well...yay for getting some money! Soo i finally start getting somewhere with this project, and Pat (my boss) is like "Ooh! We found another box!" Sooo then i had to go through that one...and it was sooo unorganized. And i had to write everything down and sort and blah.
Well, atleast I'm upstairs now! I get to eavesdropp on random conversations. And there are apparently 3 Chris' working...and 2 of them are friends...got kindof confused for a second. And these two are your typical Swarthmore students...that's all i'll say haha. Their conversations about video games and "tortured" sports teams kept me entertained most of the day.

I'M REDECORATING MY ROOM!!! Finally. We were supposed to start last sumemr, but hey! Finally decided what kindof colors i'm going with (light turquoise and peachy orange)(my two favourite colors) and sortof what kindof stuff i'm looking for. We decided that me and my dad are going to switch rooms, so now i get the back study! More privacy for me!! and more room too. Ja, so Jennie, mom and i went to Urban Outfitters and had a fun time looking around there (my favourite store). Found this gorgey silky light turquoise blankety thingy and bought it. It makes me happy XD It's very soft and plush and prettily embroidered. I love their apartment stuff...getting lots of tapestries too. ooh and i really really want the orange futon that they have! (yea and i love how the only music UO plays is Ramones...)

So had a fun mini film-fest with my dad tonight and watched Butterfly Effect and Donnie Darko. It was odd though, on the Butterfly Effect, they had a directors cut version on one side of the dvd, which had a TOTALLY different ending...weirded me out. But that's a good movie...rather painfull to watch though...really painfull actually. But it's sooo good...hmmm masochist much?
Woo! So tonight (or last night really...) was our last show for Summer Theater. You who didn't come, you are bums. Especially if you're name is Page. And the rest of you are, even if you did have work...or were in Ohio...

for once my little liner is actually true. I've had the worst trouble sleeping lately...I keep waking up around 4 AM each night...either waaay too hot or cold...or (like last night) because all the moisture in my body was sucked out.
No joke, i think my AC is taking all the moisture and liquid out of my body!!! I sat there drinking liters of water, and putting lotion everywhere and re-applying lip balm. and re-doing all this every 5 seconds. Finally i just started memorizing my lines until sheer exhaustion set in....then i had to wake up a few hours later.
mmmm ooer! I finally got my passport! YES! hello fun stamps from different countries!! And i love how since i'm still 15 the price was cheap tehe. My mom forgot i was 15...like i do all the time. I don't really think of myself as 16, yet at the same time i'm really not 15. or 15 and 3/4 or whatever. It's like limbo!

seriously though, maybe if i was a i could get out of the hell known as The Friend's Historical Society. Acctually i'm exaggerating. it wasn't THAT bad. I just read the minutes from almost 50 years worth of meetings of the Fair Housing Committee of Suburban Philadelphia for 4 farking hours.
So this is how i'm spending every morning Monday - Friday of July. And then August until pre season. in the basement of the Swarthmore Library. Struggling with 50 lb cardboard boxes that they oh-so-conveniently put on the GODDAMN TOP SHELF. dear lord, there are SHORT people in this world.
Florida was...fat, fun...a bit too much actually. You really need to experience it when you are 5 or 6, because then it will still be magical. There is only soo much Disney a person can have in a short time span.
I didn't get a tan...i was practically forced to bathe in spf 50. No melenoma for me! I guess it's better than burning to a crisp. a lot better actually.
And, i have decided that i need to do something where i travel. a lot. so i can stay in nice hotels hehe like the J. W. Marriott resort at Grande Lakes ALL the time. Claire is soo lucky! She can stay at whatever Hyatt she wants too!!! Hmm, i think i should go on a trip with her...But yes, our hotel KICKED ASS! Ok, it had a lazy river for a pool. 'nuff said.

Stopped by NYU's bookstore and "information center" where Cads piled herself up with pamphlets. I just kindof looked around.

The whole shindig was really cute, having a little HP theme. Took HELLA long though. Went on forever...mom left me to go to a baby shower, so i was there cheering doubly loudly and such. Then i found Kat, Kristina and Gabby (H) and we had a little party crossing our fingers and such. We got so many looks from all the little 6th graders when we started screaming because our younger sibling's movie had won. Saw some of my old teachers...lots of them just gave me weird looks like they only sortof recognized me.
So, Graduation still hasn't hit me...maybe because I just keep on seeing the seniors at all these parties...And i'll be seeing Claire and Mer and Lydia the whole summer. But come fall...man i'll be depressed about them leaving me for college. TAKE ME WITH YOU!!!
i have to go to bed because now that my foot has healed, i am being forced to run...ehhhhh....well, atleast it could be excuse for going slowly XD

This summer is going to be amazing, EVERYONE IS GETTING THEIR LICENSES! well, except for me that is. Ah well, my friends will have the wonderful duty of being my chauffer XD. I'm so excited for Andy to get his license though....only 5 more days!!!
Well, Commencement was....commencement-ish. Wore the white dress, and then proceeded to get rained on. That's life. Didn't even cry though...I guess its's still unreal. I almost cried though when they played "pomp and circumstance", i guess because that's when it really hits that they're graduating. The after thing (can't remember the word...) was fun actually, ate lots of shish-kabobs. By the way...is that one word? Or is it two? In that case, is it hyphanated? Hehe Zarah.
k, well I have been enlisted to be makeup artist to the "star" (AKA my sister). It's THE ACADEMY AWARDS TOMORROW!!! At the SHMS, that is. So I have to wake up early on my first actual day of summer hols. Apparently, i might even get to be the paparazzi!! Yes! Well, I would love to see the ceremony...bring back some good ol' middle school memories

thinking about...a lot of things lately. Lots of really random things...which aren't really connected. (well...maybe they are)
Confusion sucks ass. I'm not really confused...well i am, but the "confusion" doesn't really have very much to do with me...i think.
Then, i feel that I have lost my ability to be able to be around boys...or guys or whatever. Like i can't hold a decent conversation or make coherent speech...I don't act like my normal self around them. Grrr and thats so annoying! Because i want to...but i can't...So i feel like some people don't actually know me...they know a quiet...somewhat ditzy/akward me. Well, then again maybe thats how i always act. (nix on that actually, i'm definately NOT quiet..errr most of the times)
Thirdly i have been sucked back into the tumultous void of singledom. Yes, i've been here a while...but its come to that wondeful point when i finally realize it and then begin to hate it. So beware, before long i might turn into "Boy-Crazy Zoe" (think 8th grade) (please shoot me)
Actually a lot of this seems to resemble 8th Grade (aka WORST year)(Hence the want to go to Egypt)
So Eva and I have decided that since there are no men in the world for us (or there are, we just cant find them (either our stupidity or their stupidity prevents this), we will end up being two old maids, sitting in rocking chairs on our front porches reminiscing. We will have jiggilos at our birthday parties that come out of giant birthday cakes.

So monday i'm studying for finals over at Pages house. Me (being the brilliant one i am) decided to go running on her treadmill WITHOUT SHOES. (I wanted to make up for my missed run!) So Gabby is quizzing me on French Airport Vocab whilst i am running. So i try to memorize this word and close my eyes for 2 SECONDS and i'm off the treadmill!
haha so we all laugh and i get back on. So i keep on running and vocab-ing, when i look down and see some liquid on the treadmill. MY blood. My foot was SPEWING blood.
Yum.
So i ended up going to hosipital and getting it all preettyily bandaged.
Well thanks to my stupidity i can' t run or swim or do ANYTHING. I really shouldn't even be walking on it...

IT'S ALIVE!!!
MY INTERNET IS ALIVE!!! It died...for all of 3 days. Hence the lack of posting (eh, it's the only excuse i can think of...and finals...and the lack of wittiness...probably due to excessive studying for finals) Anyways, 1/3 of my finals are DONE! *cheers* NO MORE CWH MOD HISTORY! NO MORE GEOMETRY!!!! (def. the latter). However, there' still chem. And latin. of course on the same day! (no one really cares about french and english).
Study Parties are fun! Especially when Lauren can drive us around town! It's still very shocking to me.

TONIGHT WAS FUCKING AWESOME! It turned out soo much better than I hoped (Maria and Lia, you kids should have stuck around). So we went to this Exposure thing at the TLA on South Street, which started at 11 and ran till 11 pm. Rose and I decided to come around 4 (except we missed our train and go there at 5) to hang around South Street for a bit.
THERE IS JAMBA JUICE ON SOUTH STREET!!!!!
do you know how amazing it is??? It means I am deprived no longer! We have the food of the gods only a train ride and 6+ blocks away! MWAHAH see Cads, the east coast really doesn't suck all that much. AND YOU DON'T HAVE COSI! So i actually think we are in the lead.
K, soo There were these really awesome guys...don't know the name of their band though...don't really remember any bands names. But they were awesome because we were talking to them in the bathroom line at starbucks! Haha, and Rose has the hots for the bassist Paul, who looks like the lead of the Darkness
Julian's band Exiting Traffic was pretty good actually...their vocalist was one of the better ones and he was awesome one guitar. But the best bands were on when everyone left! These two bands (which are apparently from the same place) and were right after one another were so fucking awesome. Not too grunge, not too much SCREAMING. There was waaaay too much screaming in some of those bands. But yes, so i'm going to go try to find those bands...
And of course, our night couldn't be complete with out some random skeevy black guy hitting on us (rose and me). Only freaked us out a little...sooo when my dad came we ran to the car and immediatly locked the doors XD
Right, sleeptimes because i'm running tomorrow morning!

Just got back from the rehearsal du scotland...took a side trip to ritas and got myself a PINA COLADA GELATI! yurms.
sidetracking to summer jobs...I GOT THE JOB AT THE COLLEGE! Which means that i will spend my summer at Swarthmore College's esteemed McCabe Library getting $6.50 an hour for looking through a Quaker dude's diary! Actually i'm really excited because I'm working with THE Friend's Historical Society doing fun projects!*
*yes they are fun to me because i am a history loving freak
but hey! i am going to make $150 dollars a week! Not too shabby.
My sunburn is peeling. Gross. If i have my hand on my chest it is not because i am molesting myself, it is because i'm picking off the dead skin. (im not sure which is worse right now...). It is soo gross. I'm going to get cancer for going to a charity event for cancer. oh the irony.
The starbucks on lancaster is officially the after-school hangout place. I even know one of the baristas! his name is Jeff (and by knowing him its because i have ordered 4 drinks from him and overheard his name). There's just something about that place that puts me in a really good mood.

Soo i'm sitting here, in detention. Detention is cool...it's just hanging out at the library after school...the only downside is that you can't leave until 4:30.
You might be asking yourself, "Why does Zoe, such a wonderful, bright, kind, and good student have detention?" Alas, stupid chorus. Me (and Livy H) both have detention for skipping chorus lol. I just had to type up my french paper! So annoying how they're being hella anal about chorus this year...ah well.
So scotland rehearsal in 2 hours...then bflats concert!
i think people are absolutely tickled that the dramatic (theater lovers)people are going through some friendship drama right now. Well, what can you say. We all are quite dramatic. I haven't really mentioned any of what is going on currently...but if you really do care you can look at almost anyone of my friends xanga's, because they do like to publicize this kindof thing. Well atleast it's over...i guess. Unless everyone is just like "lets get this over and pretend we are all friends." And believe me, we are all quite good at pretending.

Me and Megan C are invited to go to this Montana Big Timber Arts thingy next october! And only 2 people are allowed to go (From Baldwin)! (oh me gloating...i guess i should stop being so self centered now). Alas, it makes me very happy because I just don't really see myself as a person who would get chosen for this type of thing. Like i dunno, i never really feel that i am actually a part of Baldwin sometimes...so i'm really really happy that they chose me. It sounds like it's going to be soo amazing though! IT's just 4 days fulled of ART! I love ART! Everything that has almost anything to do with ART, i'm there. I think we're mostly going for creative writing and theater though, which is still hella cool. Haha i saw Dr. Ledlie and thanked her..now i just have to find Cris.

Aah love this song...i was obsessed with the cover that was done for I Am Sam. I tried to use my dad's Beatle's Fake Book to try and learn it on the guitar last year...i ended up just picking out the melody (sans chords).
Mmm just got back from a wonderful promenade around Swatmo avec Sarah (G-W). Unfortunately now i am attempting to unclog my nose (thanks pollen induced allergies i never knew i had) oh yea I am such a romanticist, it's not even funny....ahh the restorative powers of nature. It's so true though! Just a wonderful blue sky, the plush (hehe) green trees and this gorgey warm weather all make me soooo happy :) (despite WW1). So it was really nice to spend lots of time with Sarah and too walk around the college campus, because i haven't gotten to do that in a while. Well, me and my sister did play frisbee on Parish Beach with some half-naked college boys. (well we weren't really playing with them...just besides them XP).
Blah Blah, ran into SEAN on my walk back! Huh i was thinking what he was up to and if he would see me outside of his house. As fate would have it, he was just running out the door to go to lil Cohen's house for Smallville, so i talked to him a bit and harrassed him for not going to LS.
So now i'm just chillaxin (oh Harts) and enjoying the scene change on my blog, so i hope you do too. And for some reasons PC's don't like it. I'm sorry.
